The Franco-Australian association, with the help of the municipality of Villers-Bretonneux, organizes for the fourth consecutive year, an Australian week from 22nd till 30th April 2005, around Anzac Day.
Every event is free of charge except the flying tour with the Picardy aero-club . There are courtesy-buses from the
Franco-Australian museum to the
airfield of Glisy.
2 tours: Pozieres, a 40 minute flight (40 € / pers.) – Bullecourt, a 70 minute
flight (55 € / pers.) These fares apply to 3 persons per flight.
In April
: exhibition of Australian photos at the Roger Agache library (according to the
openings hours).

- 10.00 am : Anzac Day official ceremonies at the Australian National Memorial, in the
presence of the Premier of Victoria State, the ambassador of Australia in
France, the prefect of Picardy and the Somme, representative of the French
state and numerous Australian and French VIP, civils and militaries, among
which 60 Australian officers, in training at the Military school of Shrivenham
(England).
- 11.00 am : Ceremony at the French Civilian Memorial .
- 11.30 am : Presentation of the Sadlier-Stokes scholarship at Victoria Hall.
- From 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm : Flying over the Australian battlefields from the Airfield of
Amiens-Glisy.
- 8.30 pm : Concert in the church of Villers-Bretonneux : Amiens Brass Band (concert with
the 1st trombone of the Sydney Opera House orchestra : Gregory Van Der
Struick) and Picardy Orchestra.

the museum).
- From 10.00 am to 5.00 pm : Flying over the Australian battlefields from the Airfield of
Amiens-Glisy.
- 5.00 pm : Rock concert given by the Australian artists " Flaming Galahs" at the Victoria Hall

- 6.30 pm : Jacques Brel College - Unveiling of an Australian fresco made by pupils and
professors of the college.
- 7.00 pm : Jacques Brel college - Conference (in French) about the fidelity of the
Australians for the French traditions, by the military historian Franck Welsh Followed by refreshments offered by the town council of Villers-Bretonneux.

travel of two Norman pupils in the heart of the Australian
desert", intended for the children aged 6 to 12 years old at
Victoria Hall.
